Charline (Judd) Hall

July 24, 1930 — October 28, 2015

Billie Charline Judd Hall, 85, formerly of Charlestown, Indiana passed away on October 28, 2015 at Alden Poplar Creek Rehab and Healthcare Center in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.  She was born on July 24, 1930 to Baxter and Lacey (Appleton) Judd in Kingston Springs, Tennessee.  She retired as a graphic designer from Rhodes Incorporated in Charlestown and was a member of the Charlestown Road Church of Christ.  She had worked as a secretary for Life & Casualty Insurance Company in Nashville, Tennessee and the Indiana Army Ammunition Plant.  She worked as a reporter and columnist for the Charlestown Courier.  After retirement, she worked as a teacher’s aide in the Greater Clark County Schools system.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm Hall and her younger brother Joe Judd of Kingston Springs, Tennessee.  She is survived by her children: Alan Hall (Janis) of Charlestown, IN; Jerry Hall of Holman, IN; Jon Hall (Donna) of Schaumburg, Illinois; Dina Hitchcock (Jeff) of Charles City, IA and her nephew Joe Judd Jr. (Angela) of Kingston Springs, Tennessee.   She leaves six grandchildren: Alex Hall of Sellersburg, Indiana, Meredith Hall of Middletown, Kentucky, Lauren and Nathan Hall of Schaumburg, Illinois and Hannah and Jordyn Hitchcock of Charles City, Iowa.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, Indiana.  Visitation will be Monday, November 2, 2015 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, November 3, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.  Expressions of sympathy can be made in her name to the Charlestown Band Boosters.
