Charles T. Warren, 81, of Memphis, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Norton Clark Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
Born on February 25, 1943, in Charlestown, Indiana, to Dewey and Gustiva Williams Warren, Charles grew up with a strong work ethic and a love for family.
Charles was a proud Army veteran and a dedicated truck driver for Mercer Transportation in Louisville, Kentucky. A man of faith, he attended North Charlestown Church of God. In his free time, he enjoyed the simple pleasures of life: watching Judge Judy, indulging in classic Westerns with John Wayne and Clint Eastwood, dining at Roosters, and creating memories with his family.
Preceding him in death were his parents and his stepfather, Wilbur Hall who helped raise him.
Charles leaves behind a loving family who will miss him deeply, including his children: Alan Warren (Theresa) of Sellersburg; Brandy Lewis (Timothy) of Sellersburg; Jennifer Hoffman (Brent) of Mooresville, Indiana; and Beth Gaster of North Carolina. He is also survived by his sister Clara James of Charlestown; brothers David Warren of Florida, Irvin Warren of Colorado, James Warren, and Jackson Warren, both of Salem, Indiana; grandchildren Ashley, Derek, Heather, Brett, Jaxon, Isaiah, Avery, Aiden, Grayson, Brittany, and Alex; and great-grandchildren Ava and Zander.
A Life Celebration Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, at noon at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
