Charles Herbert Ross, Jr, 72, passed away on Tuesday January 18, 2011 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
He was born on January 10, 1939 in Speed, IN to Charles Herbert Sr. and Georgia Louise Burr Ross. He worked for the former ICI for 12 years in Charlestown, International Harvester for 2 years and retired from Colgate in Clarksville. He was a Kentucky Colonel and lead singer of his band “The Crossfires”.
Survivors include his wife Karen Gemme Ross; sons, Charles Ross III, Lexington, KY and Michael Ross, Charlestown; daughters, Debbie Longpre, Lodi, CA and Brenda Ross, Charlestown; sister, Betty Carter, Cox’s Creek, KY; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; Uncle Fred Burr, Sellersburg.
