Charles Thomas Rawlings

Mr. Rawlings passed away Sunday August 23 at his residence.

He was born on Jan. 23, 1948 in Los Angeles County, CA to Bruce and Mary Elizabeth Rawlings, Sr. and step son to Geneva Rawlings. Mr. Rawlings was a member of the VFW Post 1427, the American Legion 204, and the Astor Florida Moose Lodge. He was a disabled American Veteran who served in the US Army and a recipient of the Purple Heart.

He is survived by his wife Ruth Ann Hall Rawlings of Charlestown, IN; sons Timothy Rawlings and Thomas Rawlings both of Charlestown, IN; daughter Catherine Rawlings of Louisville, KY; step son Matthew Burchett of Charlestown, IN; step daughters Sarah Adel of Columbus, OH and Kim Burchett of Charlestown, IN; brothers Bruce Rawlings, Jr. of Calumet City, IL, Doug Rawlings of Sellersburg, IN, Michael Rawlings of Marysville, IN, John Mongold of New Albany, IN and Bert West of Santa Cruz, CA; sister Gay Broughton of Seymour, IN; grandchildren Megan, Alyssa, and Katie Rawlings and Michael and Jessica Burchett.
