Charles A. Hester, 80 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Thursday December 10, 2015 at Westminister Healthcare in Clarksville, IN.
He was born on August 31, 1935 in Pembroke, KY to Ewing and Birdie Bell Bracey Hester. Charles was a former insurance agent, farmer and owner and operator of Hester’s General Store. He was also an army veteran and a member of the First Baptist Church in Henryville, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Mark Hester; brothers, Paul, Billy, Nook and Melvin Hester; sisters, Jeanette Hester and Louise Williams.
Survivors are his wife, Barbara G. Hester; daughters; Kim Perdue(Bobby) of Trenton, KY and Rhonda Bottorff(Allen) of Henryville; son, Roy Hester(Karen) of Charlestown; brothers, Ed Hester of Hopkinsville, KY and Butch Hester, Jr. of Elkton, KY; sisters, Anna Ruth Agnew of Hopkinsville, Margaret Lack of Danville, IL, Linda Vinson of Fredonia, KY and Evelyn Wyatt of Asheville, NC., and 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 11 am Saturday December 12, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Henryville. Visitation will be from 9 am to 11 am at the church. Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown is in charge of the arrangements
