Charles Edward Dickey

Charles Edward Dickey, 74 of Hanover passed away on Sunday February 26, 2017 in Louisville, KY. He was born on July 19, 1942 in Scottsburg, Indiana to Marjorie King-Bellamy. He retired from Hanover College after working as a maintenance man for over twenty five years. Mr. Dickey was a United States Air Force Veteran, and a member of American Legion Post #9 in Madison.
He is survived by his daughters Lora Caudill of Louisville, KY and Kathy Hagan (Dave) of Bardstown, KY; mother Marjorie Bellamy of Hanover; sister Donna Allen of Florida; brother Donald Bellamy of Illinois; and grandchildren: Allison, Samantha, and Eleanor “Ellie” Caudill. He is also survived by his beloved dog Cham. Charles was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Dickey.
Funeral services will be held on Friday March 3, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in Hanover with burial to follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Friday beginning at 11:00 am until the time of the service. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the American Cancer Society.
