Charles E Cress

Charles Edward Cress, 68, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2026, at Baptist Health Floyd, in New Albany, IN. Charles was born on January 22, 1958, in Salem, Indiana to Herman and Sarah Virginia (Smith) Cress.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Betty Lou Cress, and Rhonda Naugle.

Charles was an IT specialist. He loved IU sports, family dinners, going to concerts and listening to 70's rock music. In his younger years, he liked playing basketball, golfing and camping.

Charles is survived by his children, Samantha (Joey) Scheuring, Matthew Cress, and Scott (Shana) Cress. He also leaves behind 8 loving grandchildren.

The family has chosen to have a private memorial at a later date.
