Caryl Connor (Crayne) Risner

Caryl Connor Risner, 87 of Hanover, IN passed away on Thursday May 29, 2014 at her home.
She was born on October 25, 1926 in Columbus, OH to Franklin and Rose Connor Crayne. She was a retired social worker for the State of Kentucky and earned her Masters Degree at 61 years of age. She was very active in the communities of Fernandine Beach, FL and Jackson County, KY when she lived there. Some of the things she was involved in were the AARP where she served as President, member of the Meet and Greet Organization, Shine Senior Healthcare, Council on Aging, 4-H Concil, Homemakers Club, Women’s Club, American Cancer Society President and a member of the Gray Hawk Reformed Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Calvin Risner and a son David Risner.
Survivors include her daughters, Debra Werkmeister (Michael) of Madison, IN, and Brenda Risner Cash (Addison) of Augusta, GA; 2 grandchildren, Stephanie Werkmeister and
Michael Werkmeister, Jr.
Cremation was chosen and no services are scheduled. Arrangements have been entrusted to Grayson Funeral Home in Hanover.
