Carol Jeanne (Johnson) Niehaus

Carol J. “Granny” Niehaus, 89 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Sunday November 10, 2019 in Jeffersonville, IN.

Carol was born in Dover, Ohio to Gustaf and Mary Collins Johnson.  She was a retired USPS contractor for 50 years and a member of the Gideons International.  She loved children and supported Gideons International and had a quick witted humor.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Paul “Hap” Niehaus.

They shared four children, David Niehaus (Kelly) of Charlestown, Mark Niehaus of Charlestown, Kimberly Gretza of Jeffersonville and Capi Porter (Charles) of Charlestown; brother, Carl Johnson of Kansas; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and many dear friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am E.S.T. on Thursday November 14, 2019 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial at Maple Hill Cemetery in Portland, TN at 2:00 pm E.S.T.  Visitation will be on Wednesday from 6 pm to 8 pm and after 9 am on Thursday.
