Carl “Mike” Douglas Doss, 88 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Thursday Dec. 1, 2016 at Riverview Village in Clarksville, IN.
He was born on June 21, 1928 to William T. and Estella Weidner Doss in Clark County, IN. He was a retired employee of the Clark County Highway Department where he worked for 30 years. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and a member of the American Legion Post 335 and the North Charlestown Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Merlin Doss; daughter, Patricia Biggs, grandson, Daniel Ray Doss and granddaughter Tiffany Doss.
Survivors include his daughter, Karen Messer of Charlestown; sons, Wayne Doss (Deborah) of Borden, IN, David Doss, Sr., of Jeffersonville, IN and Bobby Doss of Charlestown; sisters, Rosie Klesendorff of Henryville, IN, Evelyn Doss of Clarksville and Cecilia Winters of Sellersburg, IN; grandchildren Joshua Sweeney, Amy Sweeney, Jessica Geary, Jason Doss and David Doss, Jr., and Heather Biggs and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday December 6, 2016 at Grayson Funeral Home with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 2 pm to 8 pm and after 9 am on Tuesday.
