Carl Richard Williams, 72, passed away Wednesday November 23, 2011 at Floyd Memorial Hospital.
He was born on February 2, 1939 in Assumption, IL the son of Russell Eugene and Amanda Evelyn Williams.
Mr. Williams was a carpenter and was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Charlestown.
Survivors include his wife Pearl Cole Williams; son, Garrett Britton, Charlestown; daughters, Denise Williams, Monticello, IL, Kristy Baum, Decatur, IL and Rachael Balajo, Louisville, KY; brothers, Larry Williams, Ramsey, IL, Wayne Williams, Decatur, IL, Leland “Pete” Williams, Dalton City, IL and Merle Williams, Custer Park, IL; sister, Phyllis Goodbred, Mt. Zion, IL; six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 28, 2011 at the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will held from 11:00 A.M. until time of service on Monday at the church Grayson Funeral Home Charlestown is in charge of arrangements. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Mr. Williams may take the form of donations to the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.
