Byron Richard Ison

Byron Richard Ison 77 of Jeffersonville, IN passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023, at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville.

He was born on March 30, 1946, in Charlestown, IN to Hassell and Leona Dabney Ison.  Byron was an Air Force Veteran, a member of the Utica Masonic Lodge and the America Legion. He earned a master’s degree in English and was an owner and operator in the trucking industry. He enjoyed Blues music, playing his guitar and piano, and watching Yellowstone and any Western movies or tv shows.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda K. Ison; his children, Hannah Ison of Jeffersonville, Rich Ison of Wesley Chapel, FL, Tammie Ison-Wilson of Portland, OR; sister, Sharon Wasdovich of Jeffersonville and 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Life Celebration Services will be at 12:00 pm on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown.  Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday.
