On February 23, 2014 Bruce Taylor of Jeffersonville, IN passed away. Mr. Taylor (Gramps) was born on July 4, 1919 in Whitesburg, KY and was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years Blanche Taylor, daughter Carol Ann Taylor, son David Bruce Taylor and five brothers: George, James, Woodrow, Lawrence and Hiram. He is survived by his brother, Jack (Barbara) of Arkansas and his grandson David Rizk (Karina) and great-grandchildren, Julian and Alexis of Fremont, CA, a grandson Ralph Rizk (Melanie) and great-grandchildren, Sydney and Lauren of Lexington, KY and grandchildren Joseph Rizk and Camellia Rizk of Lexington. Mr. Taylor graduated from the University of Louisville and earned a master's degree from the University of Kentucky. Mr. Taylor was a dedicated teacher including at Alice Lloyd College in Pippa Passes, KY. Mr. Taylor was generous, friendly, genuine, personable, philanthropic and enjoyed gardening, woodworking and horse racing. Sharing an event or experiencing an adventure with Gramps was unforgettable. Services are Friday, February 28 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, IN; visitation 10-12 and funeral at 12; burial at Charlestown Cemetery.
