Bonnie L. (Haas) Isaac

Bonnie Lizetta Isaac, 84 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at Riverbend Assisted Living in Jeffersonville, IN.

Bonnie was born on May 7, 1937, in Sellersburg, IN the daughter of Donald and Jane Waltman Haas. She retired from the automotive department at Sears  in Greentree Mall in Clarksville, IN. After her retirement, she and her husband, Franklin, owned and operated the Isaac’s Food Mart in Lanesville, IN from 1987 to 1993. Bonnie was a member of First Baptist Church in Charlestown, IN. She enjoyed working in her garden and flower beds, was a member of the FBC bowling league for several years, loved to fish with her husband and grandchildren, and enjoyed shopping with her granddaughters.

Bonnie is survived by her children, Teresa Voskuhl, and her husband Kurt of Charlestown, IN and Jeffrey Isaac and his wife Tonya of New Albany, IN; sisters, Vashti Brocar of Borden, IN, Jill Mallory of Speed, IN and Paulina Baxter Eisenback of Mt. Washington, KY; grandchildren, Kayla Voskuhl, Alicia Riley and her husband Kevin, Corey Isaac and his wife Shelby, Cody Isaac, Chris Isaac, and Cassidy Isaac.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Franklin C. Isaac on August 4, 2021, sisters, Juanita Truex Heubi and Barbara Haworth.

Bonnie’s Life Celebration Services will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 3:00 P.M. at  Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11:00 A.M. Saturday until the time of service at 3:00 P.M. Expressions of Sympathy in memory of Bonnie may take the form of donations for the Kentucky School for the Blind. The family would like to thank Amedysis Hospice and the staff at Riverbend for their loving care.
