Bobby Joe Leverich, Sr

Bob “Catfish Bob” Leverich, Sr., 76, of Charlestown, IN passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at his home with his family by his side.

He was born on February 23, 1947, in San Diego, CA to James and Imogene Hopkins Leverich.  He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War where he served with honors, and a member of the VFW in New Albany, IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Bobby Joe Leverich, Jr, brothers, Darrell Leverich and Donnie Leverich, and a sister, Vera O’Bryan.

Survivors include his wife, Pat Leverich; his children, Eddie Leverich (Angie), Melissa Leverich (Paul), and Joe Leverich (Shelia);  grandchildren, Angel Kenny (Zack), Jessica Hadley (Skyler), Matthew Delay (Courtney); and many more grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Georgia Allbrooke; brothers, Jimmy Leverich ( Irene), John Leverich, Gary Leverich, and Larry Leverich and his wife; daughter in law, Diane Leverich, niece, Stacy Atkins (Jake); step-children, Danny Rhodes (Bridgette), Barbara Yeager (Jim), John Rhodes (Tracy) and Chris Rhodes; his beloved dog and his best friend, Gunner Blue; sisters and brother in laws,  Kathy and Bill Coats and Janet and Joe Favier; his best friends, Jerry and Christine Capito, Bill Coats, and Dan and Annie Cristiani.

Life Celebration Services will be at 11:30 am on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, IN.  Military services will be held at the cemetery.  The visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday and after 9:00 am on Thursday.

A dinner for family and friends will follow at Bob’s home following the services.
