Bobby G. Doss

Bobby G. Doss, 63, of Charlestown, Indiana, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2026. He was born on May 16, 1963 in Jeffersonville, Indiana to the late Carl Doss and Marilyn Shoemaker Doss. Bobby will be remembered for the steady joys and deep convictions that shaped his life. He always enjoyed a good cup of strong black coffee, and he found comfort in simple pleasures such as watching westerns and the news and collecting classic model cars. His faith was very important to him and remained a guiding presence throughout his life. He loved going to church, reading the Bible, and listening to gospel music and different ministers. Those who knew Bobby also knew the affection he had for his dog, Benji, and, above all, the love he carried for his family, as they were most important to him, and he dearly loved them.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Biggs; brothers, Wayne Doss and David Doss Sr.; nephew, Daniel Doss; and niece, Tiffany Doss.

Bobby is survived by his sister, Karen Messer; nieces and nephews, Heather Biggs, Jason Doss, David Doss, Jr., Joshua Sweeney, Amy Sweeney, and Jessica Geary; and many great-nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, October 25, 2026 at Grayson Funeral Home (893 High Street, Charlestown). Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Monday, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Monday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Charlestown Cemetery.
