Billy Lee James, Sr., 71, passed away Monday, January 24, 2011 at his home.
He was born on June 14, 1939 to Herbert and Dorothy Dishon James in Crab Orchard, KY. He was a retired telephone maintenance man for the old ICI Americas. He was a member of the American Legion Post 335, Charlestown Democrats Club, and a member of the North Charlestown Church of God. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife Clara Warren James; sons, Brian James of Scottsburg, IN, and Billy James, Jr. of Otisco, IN; sisters, Barbara Barton of Charlestown, IN, and Monteena Morgan of Charlestown, IN; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 28, 2011 at 1pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial in the Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 12pm to 8pm and after 9am on Friday.
