Billy Kenneth Deaton, 76, of Charlestown, IN, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Kindred at Sellersburg.
He was born on March 20, 1940 to Dock and Sophia (Sizemore) Deaton in Confluence, KY. He was an Army Veteran, retired warehouse manager for 46years for Cissell Manufacturing in Louisville, KY, member of the North Charlestown Church of God, life member of the VFW Post 1427, and a service officer for the American Legion Post 335. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Carol Thompson; brothers, Charles Deaton, Fred Deaton, Eugene Deaton; sister, Joyce Duncan.
Survivors include his wife the former Wanda Hall of Charlestown, IN; daughter, Carmen “Amy” Martin of Charlestown, IN; brothers, Danny Deaton of Charlestown, IN, and Jack Deaton (Susie) of Harrodsburg, KY
sisters, Stella Thompson (James) of Hibernia, IN, Josephine Wilson of Taylorsville, KY, and Betty Southerland (Earl) of Fresno, CA; grandson, John Martin of Charlestown, IN; sister-in-law’s, Becky Deaton, and Carol Deaton; brother-in-law, Lee Duncan.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 4, 2016 at 5pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown. Visitation will begin on Monday after 11am.
