Bill Bourland, 63 of Sellersburg, IN passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Norton Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville, KY.
Bill was born December 20, 1951 in New Albany, IN the son of Raymond and Frankie Sue Dillon Bourland who preceded him in death. Bill was a retired Elementary School Teacher working with the Greater Clark School District at Riverside Elementary in Jeffersonville and later at Pleasant Ridge Elementary in Charlestown teaching mostly 3rd grade. He was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Charlestown, the former Elks Club in Jeffersonville. Bill was an avid Indiana University Football and Basketball fan and enjoyed traveling especially to Myrtle Beach, SC.
Survivors include his wife, Carol A. Braun Bourland; son, Nathan Bourland and his Fiancé Kadi Schultz of New Washington, IN; cousin, Nancy Ledford(Dennis) of Louisville, KY; brothers-in-law, Allen Braun(Sheila) and Carl Braun(Cathy) both of Charlestown; nephews, Joshua Braun(Julianne) and Christopher Braun; niece, Chelsea Braun; great-niece, Lynlee Braun; great-nephew, Kage Braun.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Silver Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. and after 10:00 A.M. until time of services. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Mr. Bourland may take the form of donations to Relay For Life in Clark County, IN, American Cancer Society or the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.
