Betty M. (Bratcher) Long

Betty M. Long 83 of Otisco, IN. passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023, at her residence.  She was born on February 20, 1940, in Louisville, KY to the late James Arthur and Octiva Greathouse Bratcher.

Betty worked as a legal secretary fresh out of high school and continued with it for the remainder of her working career.  She was a great artist and enjoyed trivia on her computer and reading.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Long; and all of her siblings, Kendall Bratcher, Loretta Maxine Bratcher, and Robert Bratcher.

Betty is survived by her son, David Long, and his wife Karen of Otisco, IN; her daughter Cecilia Dumag and her husband Edwin of Sitka, Alaska; grandchildren, Kevin Long, Trisha Long, Philip Dumag and his wife Chelsey, and Raquel Dumag; one great-grandson, Jace Dumag; along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown.  Visitation will be on Monday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and again on Tuesday beginning at 9:00 AM.

Burial will follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West located at 4400 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY

The family has requested donations be made in Betty’s memory to the Easter Seals or Wayside Mission
