Betty Jean Cardin, 78 passed away Saturday September 22, 2012 at Floyd Memorial Hospital.
She was born on May 14, 1934 in Louella, KY to Willie and Maggie Green Herron and was a homemaker and a member of the North Charlestown Church of God.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers; James and Bill Herron, sisters; Margie and Ruth Herron and Helen Ortensie.
She is Survived by her husband Kenneth Cardin, sons; Ken Cardin of Jeffersonville, IN and Jerry Cardin of Louisville, KY, daughter; Tammy Phipps of Charlestown, IN and Grandsons; John Phipps and Derek Carpenter, granddaughters; Lindsey Cardin and Kendall Phipps, sisters; Eva Nall of Clarksville, IN, Barbara Pemberton (Jim) of Louisville, KY, Lou Jones (Paul) of London, KY, Jan Graff (John) and Lorene Montgomery both of Charlestown.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday September26, 2012 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown and burial will be in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and after 9 a.m. on Wednesday.
