Betty Lou Hopwood Box passed away July 26, 2013 at the home of her daughter in Madison, IN.
She was born April 27, 1930 to Albert and Naomi Hopwood in Scott County Indiana.
She lived in Scott County until her marriage to Harold Richard Box. They moved to Jefferson Co. where she lived the rest of her life. Their marriage was blessed with 8 children.6 Daughters: Nancy Box, Corydon, IN; Susan Lynn Sullivan, Sacramento, CA; ; Rebecca Stewart, Lexington, IN; Debra Box, Lexington, IN; Donna Logsdon and Cathy Kilgore both of Madison, IN; two sons, Patrick Box of Hanover and infant Charles Albert.
Betty was a loving mother and good friend to many. She loved growing flowers, gardening, canning, embroidery and quilting. She dearly loved to cook and bake for the family get- together.
Along with her children Betty is survived by 15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one great great grandson soon to arrive.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 21 years, her parents, one infant son, Charles Albert; one brother Thomas Hopwood, one sister Margie Mann and one niece Lisa Mann.
