Betty Lou Crace Bartholomai passed away on January 22, 2025, in Loveland, CO. She was born on April 30, 1941, in Whitesburg, KY, to Tilford and Marie Crace. Betty was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend.
Betty's journey through life was marked by her dedication to her family and her passion for floral design. As a floral designer, Betty's creativity and eye for beauty shined through every arrangement she crafted.
Cooking and shopping were among Betty's other favorite pastimes. She delighted in preparing delicious meals for her family and friends, and her culinary skills were renowned among those who had the pleasure of tasting her dishes. Shopping trips were always an adventure for Betty, who had an eye for finding the perfect items that would add a touch of elegance to her home.
Throughout her life, Betty moved to several different cities due to her husband Stanley's career with General Electric. Despite the frequent relocations, Betty maintained a positive outlook and formed cherished memories in each place they called home. One of her fondest experiences was during their time in Erie, PA, where her fellow workers affectionately nicknamed her "the little one."
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Tilford and Marie (Ison) Crace of Otisco, IN, and her siblings Glenn Edward Crace, Tilford Crace Jr. (Dottie) of New Salisbury, IN, Jean Harmon (Crace) of Sellersburg, IN, and Richard Crace of Marysville, IN.
She is survived by her loving husband, Stanley, and their son, Philip, who resides in Loveland, CO. Betty's family extended to her siblings, who held a special place in her heart. She is survived by Evelyene Wheatley of Sellersburg, IN, Bill Crace (Betty Ann) of Charlestown, IN, Ira (Cathy) of Georgetown, KY, Jeanette Bates of Georgetown, IN, Janet Propes of Charlestown, IN, Leon (Cindy) of New Albany, IN, and JoAnn Helton (Tom) of Charlestown, IN.
Betty's legacy will be remembered through the countless lives she touched with her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love. Her family and friends will forever cherish the memories they shared with her and the impact she had on their lives.
A celebration of Betty's life will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown. Burial will follow at Charlestown Cemetery. Family and friends may gather to honor her memory and the remarkable person she was on Monday, February 3 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Tuesday from 9:00 am until the service time all at Grayson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of choice in Betty's name, ensuring that her spirit of giving continues to make a difference in the world.
