Betsy Kathleen “Kathy” Manns, age 61 of Hanover, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN.
Mrs. Manns was born on April 24, 1951 in Scottsburg, IN the daughter of Silas Hubbard and Ollie Marie Ray Blagrave. Kathy attended Gospel Truth Ministry’s in Blocher, IN was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution; Madison Chapter, active in Special Olympics and enjoyed cooking, sewing, feeding her birds and planting flowers. Kathy was retired from her L.P.N. and R.N. career after 40 years of helping others.
Survivors include her husband of 43 years Paul Manns; daughter, Heather Crites and her husband Scott, Lexington, IN; two sons, Paul David Manns and his wife Cherese, Madison and Todd Manns, Hanover, IN; two sisters, Susan Lawson, Columbus, IN and Priscilla Hubbard, Franklin, IN; six grandchildren, Travis, Paige, Aidan, Libby, Isabella and Ellie; one great grandchild, Gavin.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Nadeane Holwager, Elizabeth “Liz” Horton and step-father, Bill Blagrave.
The Funeral Service will be Thursday April 4th at 11:00 am at Kimberlin Creek Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Wednesday April 3rd, from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at Grayson Funeral Home in Hanover and Thursday from 9:00 am until the service at the Church.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Scott County Special Olympics or Reece’s Rainbow. Cards will be available at the Funeral Home.
