Betsy Elizabeth (Ross) Corcoran

Betsy Elizabeth Corcoran 88, of Clarksville, IN passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Westminster Health Care in Clarksville, IN.

She retired from Clark Memorial Hospital as a Surgical Nurse, was co-owner of the former Crows Nest Clothing on the square, and worked for Jones & Voskuhl Medical Office both in Charlestown, IN.  She was born on February 13, 1936, in New Albany, IN the daughter of Carl and Florine Elizabeth Ross, Sr.   Betsy was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Charlestown, IN, enjoyed fishing with her husband, crafting, trips to the casino, playing bingo, spending time with family and was a champion Skeet Shooter.

Betsy is survived by her niece, Carla Stallard of Clarksville, IN; nephews, Mike Ross of Clarksville, IN and Matthew McClean of New Albany, IN.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband, James “Corky” Corcoran on September 21, 2018, and brother, Carl Ross Jr.

Betsy chose cremation and no formal services with the burial of her ashes with her husband in St. Michael Cemetery in Charlestown, IN.  She requested that any donations anyone wanted to make in her memory please go to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or any Animal Shelter.  Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown is in charge of arrangements.
