Benton Whitaker

Benton Whitaker, 79, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at his home.

He was born on January 30, 1932 to Jeff and Millie Ison Whitaker in Whitesburg, KY. He was an Air Force Veteran, and a retired iron worker for the Local 25 in Detroit. He was a member of the Chester Hogg Old Regular Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife; Wilma Caudill Whitaker; son; Jeff Whitaker (Holly) of Charlestown, IN; daughters; Vickie Barton (Dave) of Charlestown, IN, and Deborah Grasso (Ron) of Lincoln Park, MI; brother; Edgar Whitaker of MI; grandchildren; Justin, Zack, Ethan, Mark, Maddie, Hallie, and Corinne; great-grandchildren; Victoria and Seth.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 1pm at the Grayson Funeral Home, with burial in the Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2pm to 8pm on Friday, and after 9am on Saturday.
