Beadie Coy, 84, of Charlestown, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2011 at Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was born on March 7, 1927 to Allen and Cora Cockrelll Coy in Butler Co., KY. He was a Army Veteran of WWII. He retired from the Naval Ordnance in Louisville, KY. He is a member of the First Baptist Church in Charlestown. He is preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Sherry Coy.
Survivors include his wife Gladys Wimpsett Coy; sons; Rodger Coy (Trudy) of New Albany, IN, Tim Coy (Pam) of Charlestown, IN, and Zachary Coy (Cara) of Scottsburg, IN; daughters, Sandy Emery of Charlestown, IN, and Carlitta Lyle of Charlestown, IN; brothers, James Coy of Lakeland, FL, and W.T. Coy of Louisville, KY; sister, Haley Harris of Louisville, KY; 14 Grandchildren and several Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 11am at the Grayson Funeral Home, with burial in the Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11am to 8pm on Tuesday, and after 9am on Wednesday.
