Barbara L. Wykoff, 83, of Hanover passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2014, at Kentuckiana Medical Center in Clarksville, IN.
Mrs. Wykoff was born September 24, 1930 in LaPorte, IN the daughter of Lee and Marion Allen Fredrickson. She was married to Richard “Dick” Wykoff on November 6, 1949 and he preceded her in death on July 20, 2000. She was co-owner and operator of Finnegan’s Grocery in Hanover with her late husband, retiring in 1991. Barbara was a member of the Hanover United Methodist Church and Hanover Eastern Star Chapter #525. She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing cards, doing puzzles and had a passion for making floor lamps.
Barbara is survived by two daughters; Lee Ann Overbey (Bill), Avon, IN; Linda Abeloos of Centerville, OH; two sons; Larry Wykoff (Jean) of Okeechobee, FL; Scott Wykoff (Linda) of New Albany, IN; one brother, Dan Carpenter of Veedersburg, IN; grandchildren, Rick, Angie, Scott, Kyle, Jason, Heather, Zak and Justin; great-grandchildren, Julia, Peyton, Danielle, Carmen, Nolan, Corbin, Jonah, Ivy and Brooklyn. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 12:00 P.M. at the Hanover United Methodist Church with burial at Zoar Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the church until time of service.
