Barbara Sue (Watson) Taylor

Barbara Sue (Watson) Taylor, 85, born in Somerset, KY but resided in Charlestown, IN before retiring to Kentucky, passed away on January 11th, 2022. Barbara is survived by her children who made up the entirety of her world, Michael Taylor, Jeffrey Taylor, Cathie Martin (Richard) and Sandy Taylor; her grandchildren Tiffany Taylor-Limoges (William), Alexandria Romines (Patrick), Allan Taylor (Nikki), Melissa Taylor, Garrett Taylor (Alexandra), Gabriella Saenz and Blake Taylor; and her six great-grandchildren.

After Barbara’s husband Jimmie passed away, she was a devoted widow the remainder of her life. She was a fierce warrior and devout Christian to the core. Those who knew her will forever remember her warm smile, infectious laugh, endless storytelling and wisecracking, free spirit, queen of the kitchen, and willingness to take care of everyone in her life, through good times and bad, Barbara was everyone’s mother or Granny!

Barbara was also preceded in death by her youngest son, Richard Taylor who passed away February 3rd, 2021.

Barbara was blessed by loved ones who will strive to honor her memory by living their lives to the fullest. Her love and generosity were beyond measure. She will forever be missed.

Family and friends are invited to say a final goodbye to Barbara at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, IN on Wednesday, January 19th, 2022, from 11:00 am until service time at 1:00 p.m.

Burial will follow the service at Crown Hill Cemetery in New Washington, IN.
