Barbara (Davidson) Gillespie

Barbara Gillespie, 64 passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at her home in Charlestown, IN.

Barbara was born on December 13, 1956, in Jeffersonville, IN the daughter of Frank and Thelma Josephine Jones Davidson who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law, Robert M., and Edith A. Gillespie

Barbara was a daughter, wife, homemaker, mom, and a loving mama, enjoyed reading, and spending time with all her loving family.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 46 years, Kevin Gillespie; daughter, Shawna Coleman and her husband Dustin of Charlestown, IN; son, Larry Gillespie and his wife Amy of Charlestown; sisters, Debra Richmer and her husband Anthony of Charlestown, IN and Teresa Cissell and her husband William of Underwood, IN; brother, Johnny Wayne Davidson and his wife Janet of Charlestown, IN; grandchildren, Lucas, Lilly, Lincoln, Bionca, Corbyn and Fallen; sister-in-law, Eva Marion of Charlestown; brother-in-law, Gary Gillespie of Charlestown; several cousins, nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

Life Celebration services will be held at the Ivy Hill Baptist Church, 5276 S. Underwood Road, Underwood, IN 47177 at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 with burial in Ivy Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Monday from 1:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown and after 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Ivy Hill Baptist Church. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Barbara may take the form of donations to your local Humane Society.
