Annette Overstreet

Annette Overstreet, 89, of Jeffersonville, IN, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN. She was born on November 12, 1931 in Custer, KY to Shelby and Lula Kinnison Bennett.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Faye Ward; sons, Neil Darnall and Gregory Darnall and brother, Howard Bennett. Annette had worked at the old B & T Drugstore in Charlestown and was a member of the New Chapel Methodist Church.  Annette raised her 3 children through age 18, then went back to school and at the age of 43 and earned her L.P.N. degree.  She worked at the old Methodist Hospital in Louisville for 15 years in the Med Surg unit and also the orthopedics wing.  She had also worked PRN at the old North Clark Community Hospital in Charlestown.  There was a belief in the family about Annette "that if everything in life was going well she would find a way to change it".

Annette is survived by her husband, Dr. Robert Overstreet;  daughter, Anita (Ron) Ashton of Columbus, IN;  grandchildren, David Carr, Allyson Carr, Jeremiah Darnall, January Darnall and Denyail Ashton;  Great-Grandchildren, Shelby Locke, Rebecca Carr and Morgan Darnall.

Annette is also survived by a great great granddaughter, Taelynn Locke.

Cremation was chosen and a Life Celebration service will be held at a later date.
