Anne C. Spencer

Anne Spencer, 70, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at St. Catherine’s Regional Hospital after battling Parkinson’s Disease.

She was born to Leo and Talitha Culberston in Evansville, IN. She was a thirty-year teacher, retired from Switzerland County School Corporation, and a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church in Louisville, KY. She very much enjoyed teaching young children and spending time with her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; Franklin Spencer; and one brother.

Survivors include sons George Spencer (Bonnie), Madison, IN and John Spencer (Carol), Charlestown, IN; grandchildren Megan Thompson of Carrollton, KY; Nicholas Spencer and Christopher Spencer of Charlestown, IN; great-granddaughter Elizabeth Grace Thompson; brother Alan Culbertson of Woodside, CA; several nieces and nephews.

Private services have been held. Committal of remains will be to Old Salem Methodist Church Cemetery.
