Alonzo Middleton, Sr, 77, of Charlestown, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2014 at Kindred Transitional Care in Sellersburg.
He was born May 28, 1936 to Walter and Ethel (Wynn) Middleton in Disney, KY. He was a retired maintenance man for the old ICI Americas.
Survivors include his wife, Delores (Griffin) Middleton of Charlestown, IN; sons, Alonzo “Lonnie” Middleton, Jr. (Frances) of Charlestown, IN, and Roger Middleton of Charlestown, IN; daughters, Cindy Jordan (John) of Charlestown, IN, and Ann Carter (Dallas) of Otisco, IN; brothers, Tom Middleton of Otisco, IN, and Billy Ray Middleton of TN; sisters, Doris Sindelar of Charlestown, IN, and Freda LaMaser of Lexington, IN; 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 1pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial to follow in the Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Wednesday from 4pm to 8pm and after 9am on Thursday.
