Allene Wilson, 85 of Jeffersonville, IN passed away on Friday, September 26, 2014 at Kindred Transitional Care-Wedgewood in Clarksville, IN.
Allene was born June 24, 1929 in Columbia, KY. the daughter of Curtis and Bessie Holt McGaha. She was a retired Kitchen Manager for the former Keystop Truck Stop in Clarksville, IN. Allene was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church in Charlestown. She was an excellent seamstress, lovingly making clothes for her children and grandchildren most by hand, was a great cook and enjoyed bowling and embroidering.
Survivors include daughters Janet Gibson and her partner Larry Osborn of Sellersburg, IN, Carolyn Rivera and her husband Vincent of Clarksville, IN; son David Wilson and his wife Brenda of Jeffersonville; brother, Russell McGaha of Campbellsville, KY; sisters Bernice Dare of Jeffersonville, Nelda Miles of Louisville and Doyce McBride of New Albany, IN; 9 grandchildren, Michael, Damon, Melissa, Todd, Stacey, Mindy, Patsy, Brandon and Amy; 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 29, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Sunday and after 9:00 A.M. Monday until time service. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the family.
