Allen Ray Carlton, 62 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at his home.
Allen was born July 21, 1952 in Jeffersonville, IN the son of Oard and Susie Thompson Carlton. He was a retired Master Electrician with RKR Inc. in Jeffersonville, IN. and enjoyed home improvement projects, NASCAR, a life time opossum trot resident and always a family man.
Survivors include his wife Phyllis Howard Carlton; daughters, Terra Cochran of Charlestown and Tracy Schindler(Ben) of Charlestown; brother, Robert Carlton of Las Vegas, NV; sisters, Margaret Duncan of Arizona , Beverley Hogue of Louisville, KY and Nancy Shephard of Lancaster, PA; grandchildren, Victoria and John Dalton. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Anna Marie Shephard, Irene Houchens and Ida Shields; brothers, Clifton E. Huber and David Carlton.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 2, 2015 at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown. Visitation will begin on Thursday from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and after 9:00 A.M. Friday until time of service. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Allen may take the form of donations to Amedisys Hospice.
