Alethea Ann Sutherland

Alethea Ann Sutherland 85, of Hanover, IN passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Thorton Terrace Health Campus in Hanover.

Alethea was born on August 14, 1939, in Indianapolis, IN the daughter of John Leroy and Virgie Loraine Bare Sutherland. She was a faithful member of the Paynesville Christian Church. Alethea did volunteer work for her church and the Cardle Family Resource Center in Scottsburg, IN for whom she made blankets maybe as many as a thousand, small purses, and other items. She enjoyed sending cards to family and friends on several occasions, crocheting and embroidering.

Alethea is survived by her brothers, Everett Sutherland and his wife Norma of Hanover, IN, and Dennis Sutherland and his wife Helen of Deputy, IN. and several nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Hubert Sutherland; sister, Linda Sue Sutherland, a sister-in-law, Betty Sutherland, a niece and a nephew.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 1:00 at Old Bethel Cemetery, 4393 West Old Bethel Cemetery Rd, Hanover, IN. Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington, IN is in charge of arrangements.
