Alene F. Halcomb, 85 of Charlestown died Tuseday June 12, 2012 at Norton Hospice Care Center in Louisville, KY.
Mrs. Halcomb was born on Dec. 1, 1926 in Whitesburg, KY to Van and Oma Stamper Frazier. She was a retired teacher with Greater Clark County Schools and was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Venters Halcomb who died April 1, 2012.
She is survived by her daughter; Susie Bowman (Terry) of Marysville, IN, son; Van F. Halcomb (Marietta) of Charlestown, grandchildren; Jess A. Hamner (Jessica) of Charlestown and Jillian M. Hamner of Louisville, KY and a great grandchild Olivia Grace Hamner.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday June 16, 2012 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery in New Washington, IN. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and after 9 a.m. on Saturday.
