Mr. Hammill passed away on Sunday June 28, 2009 at Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was born on April 16, 1934 in Lincoln County, Mississippi the son of Bryant Brooks and Mildred Mae Jackson Hammill.
Survivors include his sons Timothy Hammill of Underwood, IN, Michael Hammill of Henryville, IN, John Hammill of Mansfield, TX, and Brian Hammill of Orlando, FL; brothers Bill Hammill of Lafayette, LA, Jay Hammill of Wyoming, and Grady Hammill of Jeffersonville, IN; sister Peggy Matthews of Florence, MS; 15 grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
