Shirley Satterly, 76 of Charlestown, IN passed away October 17, 2016 peacefully in her home with her son by her side, and her other close family members close by.
Shirley was born May 22, 1940 to Elvis and Lucille Bell. She loved taking trips with her family, often to visit casinos where she could usually be found playing her favorite slot machine games or spending relaxed evenings in her hotel room with her younger sister. She also enjoyed country music, reading, crafting and crocheting. More than anything, though, Shirley was a daughter, sister, mother and grandmother who was devoted to her family and she will be greatly missed by many. She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Satterly, parents Elvis and Lucille Bell, brother, Jerry Bell, sister, Mary Lou Higdon and son Ricky Satterly.
She is survived by her son Kevin Satterly, sister, Elaine Bell, granddaughters Cynthia Satterly, Faith Cook, Olivia Satterly, Victoria Harting and Ashley Harting. Great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Butcher, Kenna Sizemore, Jaedon Gregory, Alexis, Adrian and Avery Harting and a great-great-grandson, Christopher Butcher.
A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 12:00 noon with a memorial service to follow at 1:00 P.M. at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown.
