Hoffmeister, Phyllis (Proctor) beloved wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, and friend passed away at University of Louisville Hospital on Tuesday, April 26, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wesley Keith Hoffmeister. She is survived by her son Brent Hoffmeister (Ann), daughter Beth Lanman (Dan), and three precious grandchildren Aubree Lanman, Averi Lanman, and Keith Hoffmeister.
She treasured her 30 years of teaching at Grant Line Elementary and Jacob’s Chapel in New Albany and New Washington Elementary in New Washington. She was a member of Nabb Presbyterian Church.
There will be a service to celebrate her life at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Grayson Funeral Home, New Washington with visitation held on Friday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Valley of Rest Cemetery in LaGrange, KY on Monday at 11 a.m.
Gifts in her memory may be given to the Keith Hoffmeister Memorial Fund at Hazelwood Middle School, New Albany, IN or Crusade for Children.
