Lois Ann (Abney) Monroe

Lois A. Monroe, 81 of Otisco, Indiana passed on Wednesday, January 3, 2019 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN.

Lois was born on October 23, 1937 in Clark County, IN to Lewis Moten and Alma Bertha (Maxie) Abney.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Wallace Monroe and sister, Nina Weidner.

Survivors include her son, William A. Monroe (Pamela Sue) of Charlestown, IN; daughters, Cynthia Sue Watts ( Kenneth Doyle) of Moyock, NC and Lori Jean Bower (Dennis Lee) of Otisco, IN; brother, Randall Abney of Idaho; sisters, Freda Myers of Florence, KY, Linda Lorenz of Charlestown, IN, Wilma Byrn of New Albany, IN; grandchildren, Billy McGee, Ally McGee, Kyle David Watts, Kasey Daniel Watts, Bruce Bower and Tracey Higdon; great grandchildren, Ray Lynn “Tink” Herald , Olivia Grace Watts, Mason J. Griffin, Cory Bower, Jacob Bower, Violet Higdon, Alivia Huffman and Landon Higdon.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 10:00 am at Grayson Funeral Home Charlestown with burial in Hibernia Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Monday, January 7, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and from 9:00 to 10:00 am. on Tuesday.
