Florence Yvonne (Williams) George

Florence Yvonne George, 71 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg, IN.

Florence was born on September 30, 1951, in Louisville, KY. the daughter of Clarence Ervin and Boyed Marie Willis Williams. She worked as a waitress and with ResCare in her younger years, but for most of her life, she was a homemaker. Florence was in Facebook jail for all the thumbs up she would use, watching as much of Deal or No Deal as she could. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many.

Survivors include her husband, Richard George; children, Donald George of Charlestown, IN, Ronald George of Alanson, MI, and Angela Sims of Scottsburg, IN; grandchildren, Allen George, Victoria “Tori” Lawson (Jacob), Matthew Stacy(Emily), Alexis Schaefer(Carl), Taylor Belanger, and Chasity George; great-grandchildren, Robert “AJ” George, Travis George, Damon George, and Aliyah Schaefer. She was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law, Bryan Sims, and her Granny Williams.

Florence chose cremation with her ashes to be buried in Charlestown Cemetery and no services will be held at this time.
