Alvin Markhanna Atkins, Jr

Alvin Markhanna Atkins, Jr., 92 of Marysville, IN passed away on Wednesday February 28, 2018 at his home.

He was born on May 22, 1925 in New Albany, IN to Alvin and Ruth Atkins, Sr.  He was a retired foreman for W.R. Grace Chemical Company in New Albany, an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints in Charlestown, IN.

Alvin is survived by his children, Susan Boles of Noblesville, IN and Jerry Atkins of New Albany; siblings, Kenneth Atkins of New Albany and Helen Atkins of Georgetown, IN; grandchildren, Jennifer Yonts (Darrell) and Dustin Worrall both of Charlestown, Lynda Creech, Beth McIntosh and Lisa Austin all of Austin, IN; step-son, Michael McClellan (Melissa) of Otisco, IN; great grandchildren, Kaylee Worrall, Adalyn Yonts, Mikala McClellan, Marina Burks and Ashley Ernst.

Funeral services will be held at 12 pm on Saturday at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.  Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm on Friday and after 9 am on Saturday.
