Frank Davidson

Frank Davidson, 88 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family.

Frank was born on January 31, 1931 in Hyden, KY the son of Johnny and Luellen Smallwood Davidson. He retired after 34 years from General Electric in Louisville, KY as a Quality Control Inspector. Frank was a United States Army Veteran, member of Main Cross Baptist Church in Charlestown and Charlestown Blazing Star Masonic Lodge #226. He loved Blue Grass Music and could play just about any instrument, enjoyed playing pool, but he truly loved his church and gathering together with his family.

Mr. Davidson is survived by his children, Barbara Gillespie and her husband Kevin of Charlestown, Johnny W. Davidson and his wife Janet of Charlestown, Debra Richmer and her husband Anthony of Charlestown, Teresa Cissell and her husband William of Underwood; grandchildren, Larry Gillespie, Shawna Gillespie, Nicole Lawrence, Ethan Richmer, Jake Hatter, Alicia Colvin, Jeremy Cissell and Joshua Cissell; great-grandchildren, Lucas Gillespie, Lilly Gillespie, Lincoln Gillespie, Shaelynn Hatter, MaKenzie Hatter, Morgan Guthrie, Jehonnas Colvin, Joey Colvin, Claudia Colvin, Tyson Nipple, Beckam Nipple, Bionca Martin, Corbyn Coleman, Fallen Coleman, Kayleb Elrod, William Kannapel, Emelei Cissell, Hannah Cissell and Elijah McDowell. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Thelma Josephine Davidson on March 6, 2019; sisters, Ruby Zurschmeide, Alberta Dabney and Norma Carr; brother, William Davidson; grandson’s, Shane and Troy Davidson.

Life Celebration Services will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Owen Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday and after 12:00 noon on Tuesday until the time of services.
