David Anthony Schlageter

David Anthony Schlageter, 71 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Monday June 17, 2019 in Kindred at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY.

David was born on June 8, 1948 in New Albany, IN to Wilbert M. and Evelyn R. Heagie Schlageter. He was a retired packer for the United States Census Bureau in Jeffersonville, IN and was a former manufacturing specialist for Micro-Med, Inc. in Louisville, KY where he worked for 11 years.  David was also a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Marilyn Richert, Lynda Vance and Danny Schlageter.

Survivors include his wife, Geneva Goedeker Schlageter; daughters, Angela M. Harris (Kent) of Louisville, KY and Kimberly L. Gagel (Mike) of Charlestown; son, William M. Schlageter (Angela) of Louisville; grandchildren, Katelyn Schlageter, Isabelle Schlageter, Gareth Schlageter, Sean Harris and Joshua Harris.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday June 24, 2019 at St. Michael Catholic Church with burial in St. Michael Cemetery.  Visitation will be at Grayson Funeral Home from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday and after 9 a.m. on Monday.
