Armina Cole (Combs), 72 years of age, passed away peacefully and surrounded by love on June 11th, 2018 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born February 19th, 1946 in Hazard, Kentucky to Truman and Ollie (Sizemore) Combs. She married John K. Cole on November 13th, 1965 in Charlestown, Indiana.
She loved many things, such as spending time with family, cooking, camping, gardening, landscaping, and music – but there was nothing she loved more than being a mother. She provided the deepest most unconditional love to her children, and even to those whom were not biologically hers. Her home was a place for anyone who needed it; her doors were always open.
In many ways, she truly defined the word “home” – for it is not always a place, but a person, who makes a home, a home. She was the matriarch with a heart made purely of gold.
She is survived by her husband, John; sons, Ollie Cole, Jason Cole, Nathan Cole, Jesse Cole, Ron Warman, and John P. Cole Jr.; daughters, Tonja Cole, and Bobbie Cole; granddaughters, Stephanie Karsner, Malori Cole, Patricia Herndon, Josie Gravel, Elzie Gravel, Emma Huffines; grandsons, Ollie Cole, Jacob Haney, Luke Amburgey, and Kenneth Cole; sisters, Rita Amburgey, Jackie Boucher, Zola Lee, Connie Stivers, Veda Combs; brother, Johnny Combs; and many nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her father and mother, Truman and Ollie; son, John P. Cole; brother, Ralph Coda.
