Phyllis Ann (Evans) Dodson

Phyllis Ann Dodson, 78 of Otisco, IN passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024, at Baptist Floyd Hospital in New Albany, IN.

Phyllis was born on January 28, 1946, in Sutton, West Virginia the daughter of Percy Evans and Hazel Irene Gregory Rogers. She was a sales associate in the Jewelry Department at the Clarksville Wal-Mart since the day they opened their doors for business. Phyllis was a big supporter of St. Jude and Kosairs Childrens Hospitals, loved to shop especially with her Wal-Mart friends, eating out, and spending time with her family.

Phyllis is survived by her children, Tina McCoy of Henryville, IN and Dusty Standiford and his fiancé Angie of Otisco, IN; stepchildren, Doug Dodson and his wife Cindy of Cincinnati, OH and Dion Dodson; sisters, June Minor, Connie Justice, and Beverly Evans; grandchildren, Leslie, Sean, Randi, Ryan, James, Christian, Jordan, Dallion, Shelby, Brittany, and Davey; great-grandchildren, Carter, Layla, Shelby Jr. and Levi. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George Dodson; children, David and Jimmy Disponett; grandchild, Travis McCoy; stepdaughter, Dayna Dodson; brothers, Dale Evans, Jackie and Larry Truman; step-grandchild, Kyle Dodson.

Life Celebration Services will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be gin on Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday after 10:00 A.M. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Phyllis may take the form of donations to St. Jude or Kosairs Childrens Hospitals.
