Martha Grimes Massey, age 88 of Clarksville, formerly of Charlestown, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Clark Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her children’s father, Jessie Grimes, her husband, Willis Massey, parents, Ben and Mae Braun, sister, Juanita Crawford and son-in-law Samuel Kemp.
Survivors include daughters, Judy Kemp, Palmyra, Doris King(Jeff), Jeffersonville, Mary Bobbitt, Clarksville, Betty Miller(Thomas), New Albany; sons, Jimmy Grimes(Rosemary), Radcliff, KY, Larry Grimes(Vicki) and Jerry Grimes both of New Albany; sister Margaret Hendricks; brother, Bernard Braun both of Clarksville; 24 grandchildren and lots of great and great-great grandchildren.
She loved playing bingo and her weekly card games with her family.
Cremation was chosen with private services. Grayson Funeral Home, Charlestown is in charge of arrangements.
