Shawn William Hensley, age 40, of North Vernon, IN passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2012 in Charlestown, IN.
He was born December 4, 1971 in Jeffersonville, IN the son of Finley Hensley and Norma Eddins.
Survivors include his son, Seth W. Hensley, North Vernon; mother and step-father, Norma and Frank Teeple, North Vernon; brother, Tim Hensley, Nashville, IN; sisters, Sondra Adams and Teena Spencer both of Charlestown, IN.
Cremation was chosen and no services are scheduled at this time. Grayson Funeral Home, Charlestown is in charge of arrangements.

To the family of Shawn Hensley. I am deeply sorry for your loss. I didn't get the pleasure of meeting Shawn but I knew his son Seth very well. He is a beautiful little boy and it is very sad that he will not have a chance to know his dad like he should have. I hope he has some memory of their time together. I knew his mother Mandy Campbell and her mother Kay Webb very well. They were my neighbors and mostly my friends. I am the maternal grandmother of Seth Hensley. Seth is the only child of Shawn. I am saddened by the passing of
Shawn, but he leaves a legacy in Seth that is so precious. Our family loves Seth very much and grieve with him for his father. I know how much Seth loved his father.. He speaks of him lovingly very often...I will strive to do my part in keeping his good memories of Shawn alive. Mandy, Seths'''''''' mother, my daughter, joins me in extending our deepest sympathy to the Teeple and Hensley family.

Shawn was and always will be my best friend. It really hurt me when I found out and I've only just now felt ok to write this as I'm having hard time with it. I will keep Seth and all the family in my prayers.

My family and I are long time friends of shawns and also the mother of his son Mandy Cambell. We recently just found out of Shawns passing and are devastated. I have known Shawn my entire life and he was my brother Donnie Jacksons best friend. If anyone can please let us know how Shawn died please call me at (502)609-1450. I cannot rest till I know how my friend passed away so please someone let me know. Shawn is dearly missed and always will be, I am very sad to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, and his son Seth and the mother of his son mandy cambell. May you R.I.P my dear friend. Love and miss u Shawn always. I never will forget all our memories.
