William "Billy" Smith

William “Billy” A. Smith, 58, of Charlestown, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2016 at his home.

He was born on March 4, 1958 to Alfred and Elizabeth (Gray) Smith in Warner Robbins, GA. He was a retired teacher from Charlestown Middle School.  He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Janet Spivey; brother, Jeffery Smith.

Survivors include his wife the former Marianne Jones of Charlestown, IN; daughter, Lindsey Brandenburg (Scotty) of Charlestown, IN; son, Andrew Smith of Charlestown, IN; brother, David Smith of San Antonio, TX; grandsons, Brooks and Reid Brandenburg; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 11am at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial to follow in the Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Thursday from 1pm to 8pm, and after 9am on Friday.
